Parents told us they wanted better communication between them and the School – and they wanted to pay for school bills online! Well – good news!
If you have a smartphone, both you and the school can save money when you download the ‘School Gateway’ app from your app store (Android and iPhone).
We’re aiming to get 80% of parents using the app – please help us achieve this.
Once you’ve downloaded the app, our texts will be delivered to you as instant app messages.. Any messages that you send to school using the app will be FREE of charge to you. It’s quick and easy to do. All you need to activate the app for the first time are your email address and mobile number that school holds on record for you.
You can also pay online – for clubs, school lunches and school trips, as well as notify us of attendance.
IMPORTANT: We will be running all clubs next half term through the School Gateway app. This means you can add your child onto their preferred club (including Breakfast club) and pay for their School lunches upfront too. We’ve made the payments visible from the 22nd October (we figured you had enough to do in the Friday night post-PTFA disco haze without worrying about apps etc).
Some clubs have a limit on numbers. All clubs are set up to pay in full – but there are ways of spreading the cost if you’d rather. Do talk to us if you’d like to do this. Please remember there are transaction costs associated with paying online – the cheapest is via a direct bank transfer from your bank account.
As explained in the letter sent home – please bear with us – we have rigorously trialled the basic system but the online payment system is new and there may be glitches. Feel free to give us your feedback – and don’t worry if you can’t initially log in, there’s always a solution!
What you need to do now:
If you have a smartphone, please download School Gateway from your app store (Android and iPhone). The app shows the same information as the website PLUS you can send app messages to the school for FREE – this will also save the school money when we send text messages.
OR Visit the website and click on ‘New User’. You’ll receive a text message with a PIN number. Use this PIN to login to School Gateway.
Can’t activate your account? If you’re having trouble activating your School Gateway account, it may be because school doesn’t have your current email and mobile phone number on record. Please call the school and we’ll update the details on our system.
